In case you needed further proof that Mother Nature kicks some serious butt, results of a recent study posted in the online journal Cancer revealed that an herb called milk thistle may help reduce liver damage and inflammation caused by chemotherapy treatment.

The study–which analyzed a group of 50 children being treated for acute lymphoblastic leukemia–comes as no surprise to natural health experts, who for decades have touted the use of milk thistle to protect healthy liver cells.
