It depends on the specific supplement, but typically yes – refrigeration is recommended for best results. However, certain probiotics (such as our FloraSMART line, for example) are shelf-stable and therefore do not require refrigeration. This page may help you determine which probiotic is right for you, though you would likely benefit from a high-Bifido critical care formula such as Ultimate Flora Critical Colon 80 Billion or Ultimate Flora Critical Care 50 Billion, especially given your recent diagnoses and antibiotic treatment.

Typically we recommend a 3-step cleansing program that begins with a General Total-body Cleanse, followed by an Enhanced Cleansing/Detox Formula and then followed by a Microbial Cleanse. However, you may certainly benefit from beginning with ParaGONE because of the h. pylori and histolytica. Be sure to consult your physician before beginning any cleansing program.

If you have any more questions or would like to discuss your symptoms further, our Customer Support team is also available by phone at 1-800-830-1800.

Should probiotics be stored in the refrigerator after opening?

What is the best probiotic for me to take on an ongoing basis? I had some digestive "issues" gas, bloating, indigestion. Found out I am allergic to casein and gluten and have eliminated them from my diet. I am currently trying to lose weight so I follow a strict low carb diet of veggies and grass fed organic meats with some protein shake supplementation so my digestion is much better. I also find that if I take Hcl tabs with my dinner- protein, salad and steamed/roasted veggie my digestion is much better. I was diagnosed with h.plyori and histoylitica and took antibiotics for them but I would like to really get my system running optimally again. It seems everyone in my family has had "digestive issues" as they got older. Should I also think about doing a parasite cleanse too? I would appreciate any help or info anyone has to offer.
