Foul smelling gas

OfflineHi Adam,
Foul-smelling gas could mean multiple things, but it may be beneficial to start with a natural digestive enzyme like DigestMORE or Gas STOP to help break down the foods you eat and enhance digestion. (When undigested food remains in the colon, it can ferment and cause gas and bloating.) On that note, it may be a good idea to look at your dietary habits and consider limiting or avoiding certain foods that are known to cause gas—although you may have made some of these changes already due to your experience with Crohn’s.
A candida cleanse may help because it would help to balance out the microbes in the gut, and gas with that strong of an odor can be due to harmful microbes or parasites. It may also be a good idea to increase your probiotic intake. FloraSMART is great, but you might benefit more from a probiotic supplement with two or three times the amount of CFUs in FloraSMART. You may also want to consider a stool test. This will help you better determine what you are dealing with so you can take some more specific, focused action.

OfflineHey guys,
A little bit of background on me: I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease at age 17. After multiple trials with different types of medication, I eventually had to have a few surgeries between the ages of 23 and 26. As soon as I got out of surgery at age 26, I started on a regime of Intestinew, Florasmart and Digestimore for about a year. I'm now 29 and my Crohn's has been in remission (for the most part). Recently, I've been having some bowel troubles again, so for the last three weeks, I've been taking Intestinew and Florasmart daily, first thing in the morning.
As of late, I haven't been able to eat many raw fruits or vegetables because of the inability to digest them properly. It causes me really bad intestinal pain. I can get in some fruits, but two days of salads and fruit causes me pain. Lettuce and leafy greens hospitalize me. So my diet as of late has been mostly soups and meat. All my vitamins I get through multivitamins or juice and that regime has been working quite well, until recently.
Now the trouble…
I'm having horrible smelling gas. It started about 6 months ago. It's excessive, up to 20 times per hour (especially when I eat foods like brocolli). With a narrowed intestine (from my past surgeries), I sometimes get so much gas that it hospitalizes me with terrible chest pains. I get bloating, some pain and the smell is atrocious. Not only that, but it lingers for literally HOURS. It's embarassing and people are starting to notice. I'm also concerned that it's affecting my breath as I've had a couple of comments in thelast 6 months about it. Can anyone help with this? I was thinking about doing a bowel cleanse, but I'm not sure if that's the right path to take. Maybe I should start digestimore again? Or do a candida cleanse? There's so many options and I'm not sure what path to take. I'm also a fairly slim guy, so losing weight isn't in my best interest. Please help! Thanks so much!
