With any cleanse, the First Cleanse program included, the concern is that the herbs may encourage toxins to deposit into the breast milk. For this reason, we do not recommend cleansing while nursing.

I just purchased first cleanse, and I see that the directions say not to use if you are pregnant or nursing.  What is the concern–that it will affect milk production, or that it will harm the child?  I am currently nursing an almost 3 yo twice a day and trying to wean.  So, in other words, I wouldn't want him to get anything harmful through my milk, but I wouldn't be upset if my milk were to dry up.
