How Long Should a Break be Between Cleanses ?

It really depends on the specific cleansing program, so it is always important to read the individual product instructions. While several of our cleanses may be taken for up to three months at a time, a deeper cleanse such as CleanseSMART is best used only quarterly or twice yearly because of the stronger bowel-stimulating herbs in the formula. Essentially, it is not beneficial for your body to be cleansing month after month, so it is best to take a break in between–at least 15 to 30 days. Our general cleansing recommendations offer a good guideline:

  • Begin with a General Total-body Cleanse (may be taken 2 to 4 times yearly)
  • Advance to an Enhanced Cleanse as needed for specific concerns (see individual product directions for length of use)
  • Follow with a Microbial Cleanse to address parasites, yeast, or both (see individual product directions for length of use)

Elsewhere in the Cleansing FAQ's you have indicated that we can take cleanses  back to back for up to 3 months without taking a break.  After the 3 months when it is time to take a break, how long should that break be before we restart cleansing again?
